About...

R.L.Clement cake decorating School was started 30 years ago. Thousands of students have passed out from our school and have made successful careers in cake making, cake decorating, flower arrangements and on bakery product making both in Sri Lanka and in other parts of the world. We conduct classes in cake making and decorating, sugar flowers gelatin creations and structures, cold porcelain, puddings, pastries, gateaux. The classes are held in various part of Sri Lanka such as in Colombo, Wellawatte, Negombo Galle Matara, Kalutara, and Kandy,

The classes are conducted by Mr.R.L.Clement who has won numerous international awards in the Art of Sugar Craft and Gelatine Creations and assisted by a well-qualified staff. Some of the International awards won by the staff members are,

  • Bronze medal in the “Master class – Wedding cake Structures” at the British Sugar Craft Competition in 2004

Diploma in Cake decorating & Making

The students should complete three full years to obtain this qualification. This qualification is well recognized in most parts of the world and it has helped many to be employed overseas.

The classes will be held once a week

In this course you will learn,

  • Techniques of icing flower making
  • Different types of wedding cake structures
  • Extension work on structures
  • Designs on sugar paste
  • Techniques on royal icing

 

We conduct Short courses in,

  • Novelty cakes (B’day cakes, Anniversary Cakes, Celebration Cakes) - 3months
  • Gelatin Cake Structures - 6weeks
  • Gelatin flower arrangements - 6weeks
  • Cold porcelain - 4weeks
  • Puddings (Chocolate pudding Passion Fruit Moose, etc.) - 4weeks
  • Pastries (Different types of breads, hot dogs, tea buns etc.) - 4weeks
  • Gateaux (pineapple, chocolate,etc.) - 4weeks
